London by far I was most excited to visit and a city I had hoped to be in the longest , it didn’t work out that way but in my prayers I ask Allah to come back again ! I have family and friends here and it just felt overall an exciting place to be and live! It reminded me so much of New York because of how busy and fast paced the streets were and the Metro system was basically like New York’s. I’m from the Midwest so our metro system is very small and doesn’t run as often as it does in New York and London.

It was very easy to get places we needed to and basically since English is spoken there it’s not as difficult asking for directions either. The air Bnb we had booked near the airport in Gatwick Airport didn’t work out but we booked a new one near Shadwell Station and it was great because we had a station five minutes away, restaurants and clothing shops close by and a grocery store called Sainsburys. Our new air Bnb had a kitchen so one night we bought some groceries which was surprisingly cheap from Sainsburys (20£ pounds which is about $25 USD ) and for everything we got I feel like it would’ve been more expensive at an American grocery store !

Our first day there we saw the Tower of London , which is a castle with some history along the Thames River in London. You can go inside the Castle by the way , I believe the tickets are around 21 £ , we just didn’t want to spend that much. If you’re ever in London and want to see some attractions all in one area there’s so many attractions along the Thames River ! After seeing the Tower of London , we were able to walk over to the London Bridge which had a beautiful view from it and then could walk to Big Ben. Which unfortunately was covered with all the construction that was being done on it but it still looked great at night !

Another warning when you are in tourist attractions, there will be people selling things who are very persistent and walk up to you trying to get you to buy something (this happens more in other countries more than England but still be careful). There was one of those bikes that a guy would pull people on to take them to an attraction and we must’ve not read the prices correctly because we thought from the sign that it was ten pounds to go to Buckingham Palace for all of us which we were excited about for that price because it was cheap ! Turns out it was ten pounds a person so 30 £ total , oops ! We had the money just wasn’t expecting it to be that much ! Buckingham Palace was nice it was only a bummer that we were there at night and couldn’t take as good pictures. It was definitely cool to see the beautifully decorated gates and to peek through the gates and see the bobbies (queens policeman with the black funny hats) walking around in front of the palace.

Our last day in London was more relaxed, we visited the British Museum which was cool and amazing to see . It’s also free to go inside to my tourist friends on a budget! After that I just met up with a family member in the Camden area , which was nice because I went shopping with her on Oxford street (which is a famous street with a whole bunch of places to shop) and I got some things at a store called Primark! We then ate an Italian restaurant and then it was time for me to go home!

Overall I love my experience there and I’m excited In Sha Allah in the future to go back
