The Benefits of the Ten Days Of Dhul Hijjah
Asalam alaykum loves ! I meant to try and make this post before the first ten days started but that didn't end up happening. We are on the second day of the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah, which are said to be very blessed and filled with much reward! Most people if they are not able to perform Hajj during these days we are fasting, giving charity and doing good deeds! May Allah accept it from you if you are performing Hajj or even if you are not and still doing good deeds May Allah accept it!
The Prophet (PBUH) said, “There is no deed that is better in the sight of Allah or more greatly rewarded than a good deed done in the (first) ten days of Al-Adha”. It was asked, “Not even Jihad for the sake of Allah?” The Prophet (PBUH) replied, “Not even Jihad for the sake of Allah, unless a man goes out himself for Jihad taking his wealth with him and does not come back with anything.” Narrated by Al-Bukhari
So if you are fasting you won't actually fast all ten days, there will be nine days you are fasting, the ninth day is the Day of Arafat and the tenth day is Eid Al- Adha, so the first day of Dhul Hijjah was on Friday August 2nd and Eid will be on Sunday August 11th In Sha Allah!
So MashAllah ! There is so much evidence that these ten days are so blessed and if you are not able to perform Hajj there are many ways to benefit and get reward. Whether it is donating your time or money, volunteering with others or increasing your worship through prayer or zhikr. Fasting also because there is reward in that even outside of these ten days or Ramadan but we know there is a higher reward during these special times. Repentance is also important during these days as well.

May Allah help us reap the rewards of these days!
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Fasting the Day of ‘Arafah (ninth Dhul-Hijja) is an expiation for (all the sins of) the previous year and expiation for (all the sins of) the coming year.” (Muslim)
There are also beneficial dua or prayers we can make during these days !
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “There are no days on which good deeds are greater or more beloved to Allah than on these ten days, so recite much Tahleel (saying Laa ilaaha ill-Allah), Takbeer (saying Allahu Akbar) and Tahmeed (saying Alhamdu Lillaah).” (Ahmad -Saheeh)
In the verses in Surah Al Fajr, Allah swears by these ten days.
verse 1 says "By the dawn"
verse 2 says "And [by] ten nights"
Allaah swears an oath by them, and swearing an oath by something is indicative of its importance and great benefit. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): "By the dawn; by the ten nights" [al-Fajr 89:1-2]. Ibn ‘Abbaas, Ibn al-Zubayr, Mujaahid and others of the earlier and later generations said that this refers to the first ten days of Dhu’l-Hijjah. Ibn Katheer said: "This is the correct opinion." (Tafseer Ibn Katheer, 8/413)
I hope this important was beneficial to you and May Allah accept all your fasts, prayers, charity and good deeds! Have a wonderful next few days of Dhul Hijjah and early Eid Mubarak!!
